She died as a result of burns sustained when her dress caught fire. She and Millard had only been married a short time when the accident occurred. They had no children.

NOTE:
There are 2 headstones for Victoria, one being relatively new and of a flat type and one being an old "rock" which has been left in the original position and it shows her name as "Victoria Nelson". The newer headstone has been placed "behind" the older "rock" headstone/marker...Della Perry Lilly 7-2-2007

* This would indicate that she perhaps died in 1906.
