Helen L. Fakla, 79, of Whitehall Township died Saturday, Aug. 15, in Muhlenberg Rehabilitation Center, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Gustave Fakla, who died in 1995.
She was a bus driver for the Whitehall-Coplay School District for 23 years before retiring in 1984..
Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Margaret (Nemeth) Lichner.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Slovak Lutheran Church, Northampton, and its Ladies Aid.
Survivors: Daughter, Diane S., wife of David Hausman of Coplay; son, Daniel P. of Northampton; sisters, Mrs. Mary Lambrecht of Anaheim, Calif., Pauline, wife of Michael Torba of Bethlehem, and Mrs. Ethel Stettler of Whitehall, and a grandson.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton. Call 9-11 a.m. Tuesday.
