Valentine was a hatter by trade and had moved with his daughter and son in law ( John Edwards) by 1860 to Clay County when he was 75 years old.
Though no grave marker remains (if indeed there ever was one) for Valentine Arnett, he could very well be the person with the earliest birth date to be buried in the Andy Fender Cemetery.
