Ora Louisa Hawk Denton

Funeral for Ora Louisa Hawk Denton, 90, of Decatur will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Rollins officiating.

Burial will be in Burningtree Cemetery with Roselawn Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Denton died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born May 15, 1912, in Eva to Henry Hawk and Lyda Butler Hawk. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was a retired teacher from Decatur City Schools, where she worked for 40 years.

Survivors include one son, Edward Nelson Denton of Decatur; one daughter, Margaret D. Minton of Decatur; two sisters, Annie McKee of Hulaco and Bernie Yarbro of Huntsville; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.

Nephews will be pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Haggerman Crane Sunday School Class at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
