John was born January 27, 1951 in Manitowoc. He was the son of Owen and Delores Meyer Anhalt. John was employed with Berkedal and Shimek followed by employment with Zaug’s Food and Vending. On September 18, 1971 he married Janet Franzen in Manitowoc. John enjoyed collecting old toys, Jim Beam Decanters, Promo Cars, and was a past member of the Aerie Eagles Club #706.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Janet; one son: John B. Anhalt, Manitowoc; one daughter: Barbara (Michael) Reneau, Waukesha; six grandchildren: Shelby, Madelyn, Mason, Ava, Ethan, and Amara; his parents: Owen and Delores Anhalt, Manitowoc; four sisters: Joy (Larry) Rand, New Franklin; Jean (Jim) Grall, Manitowoc; Jackie (Jeff) Jagodinsky, Manitowoc; Jodi (Pete) Mears, Green Bay; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: David (Mary Jo) Franzen, Manitowoc; Paul (Lois) Franzen, Manitowoc; Helmer “Junior” (Marge) Franzen, Two Rivers; Shirley Stever, Manitowoc; Jean (Ed) Zahn, Manitowoc; Jim (Lisa) Franzen, Oak Creek; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and many friends.
