Erected by John Tennant, Blacksmith, Edinville, in memory of his son, Private CHARLES TENNANT, 2nd Battalion Gordon Highlanders who died while a Prisoner of War 10th September 1944 aged 32 years. Also his wife ELIZA GREEN SHAND who died 8th April 1965 aged 81 years And the said JOHN TENNANT who died 23rd March 1973 aged 91 years.
