Cenotaph. Mathematician and cryptologist. He was born in Posen, Germany, now Poznań in Poland. He worked with Marian Rejewski and Jerzy Różycki to decipher the German Enigma codes during WWII.
Zegalski's ashes were scattered at the Chichester Crematorium and Garden of Remembrance. The attached photograph shows a memorial sarcophagus honoring him and colleagues Rejewski and Różycki at the National Pantheon within the vault of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Kraków.
