Shirley went to be with her Lord and Savior and to be reunited with her loved ones on Monday, October 14, 2019. She was born August 13, 1938 in Quitman to Leonard and Beadie Potts Davis. Shirley enjoyed working for many years at Leslie Lakes Retirement Home in the Gingerbread House gift shop, where she loved talking with everyone. She also enjoyed working in her yard and took pride in her flowers. Shirley was an adored wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Beadie Davis, husband John Poole, sons Tony Poole and Randy Poole and wife Martha, and by brother J.W. Davis.
She is survived by her granddaughter Amanda Richardson and husband Eric, grandson Randall Poole, great grandchildren Allie and Eli, sister Irene Chandler, brother Alford Davis, by her fur baby Bobby Joe, and by numerous other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Randall Poole, Chuck Marsh, Timothy Manchester, Steve Hollis, Harold Carr, and Jerry Bailey. Honorary pallbearer will be Joe Moore.
The family would like to thank Premier Hospice for the care of Shirley, and the Bienville Parish Sheriff’s Department for all their help as well. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
