Sadie Louise Parnell was born at Cuba Landing, Humphreys County, Tennessee the daughter of Annie Lee Batton Parnell (1883-1965) and Thomas Lunsford Parnell, Sr. (1882-1951).
Granddaughter of Mary Elizabeth Smith Batton & Fredrick Batton and Melissa Hedgepath Parnell & Frye Parnell.

After graduating from High School in 1943, Sadie attended Southern Junior College in Colledgedale, Tennessee and was employed as a business secretary at the Davis Cabinet Company in Nashville, Tennessee.
Sadie married Joel Harrison Little on April 14, 1946 and made their home in Waverly. To this union a daughter was born, Linda Faye on January 19, 1947.
Sadie worked as a legal secretary for eighteen months in the office of Davis Scott Porch, Jr., and twenty-four years as a Secretary-Bookkeeper for the Humphreys Department of Education. On January 1, 1978, she was appointed Trustee of Humphreys County by the County Quarterly Court, and was elected to a four-year term in the General Election on August 3, 1978, where she served until retiring in 1986.
