Dennis Whitis, 58, of Lancaster passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 at his home. Born Sunday, August 13, 1961 in Berea Kentucky, he was the son of late Virgil & Nora Bullock Whitis. Dennis retired from Dana Corporation and was a jack of all trades, he was a avid fan of UK basketball. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Whitis, sisters; Brenda Grynch, Sue Kinsey, Joyce Howard, Sharon Strong.
Survivors include his loving wife Vickie Spears, daughter; Jennifer (Matthew) Tyler, of Lancaster, brothers; Gary Whitis, Dusty Whitis both of Frankfort, sister; Lisa Mays of Richmond, three grandchildren Jason & Austin Hopkins & Chris Poff, & best friend of 30 years, Sharon Snow, of Lincoln County.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. With burial following at Lancaster Cemetery.
