Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Spydell, age 87 years, died June 5, 2009 at Bay Regional Medical Center. She was born in Bay City on March 17, 1922 to the late Charles Gibb and Jennie Jane (Reid) Steele.

Margaret was employed as a legal secretary in the Law Offices of Clarence M. Mikolajczak until her retirement in 1984. She was a sponsor for the Bay City Central Dance Drill Team, the Color Guard and the Majorettes. She was a longtime supporter of the St. Patrick's Day Parade Association and the Fire Works Festival.

She is survived by two children, Sherry (Ted) Aguirre and Patrick (Joann) Spydell; seven grandchildren: Paul, Blair, Patrick, Jr. and Gregory Spydell, Christie (Adam) Alexander and Marc (fiancée Monica Trahan) Aguirre, and three great grandchildren: Selena Lopez, Olivia Aguirre and Owen Alexander.

She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil A. Spydell (1921-1985), a son, James M. Spydell (1948-1996) and two brothers, John A. and Charles W. Steele.

A memorial service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. Lay Minister Linda Studniarz will preside. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial tributes may be made to the St. Patrick's Day Parade Association or the Fire Works Festival.
