A handsome young man ~ Diego Stolz ~ was ever so lovingly enfolded in the arms Jesus on September 24, 2019.

As Diego's parents pre-deceased him, he was being raised by his aunt and uncle in Moreno Valley, Riverside County, California. The 13-year-old attended Landmark Middle School.

Earlier in the month, the school received a complaint that the 8th grader was being bullied ~ physically and verbally ~ by several other students. On Monday the 16th, Diego was once again ambushed on campus and knocked to the ground, hitting his head. He was rushed to Riverside University Health System Medical Center in serious condition. Unfortunately, Diego never woke up and was removed from life support. His family made the beautiful decision to donate his organs.

Tears were flowing and prayers were spoken at a memorial service honoring this precious child of God. Classmates described their friend as always having a smile or a silly joke for his buddies. An essay that he wrote was read out loud. Here are excerpts ...

"A hero isn't someone who has a cape or can fly or who has the powers of a god ... Being a hero means taking care of everybody, including yourself ... They don't standup just for themselves, but for everybody, and fight for equality." ~ Diego Stolz

One student said it best ~ "Sometimes, you can't start with words. You just have to start with tears".

White balloons were released, then candles lit for a final song ~ "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)".

Charges of manslaughter have been filed on the students and a lawsuit filed against the school district.
