Auntiebeck, as she was called by family members, lived in Houston most of her life. She was a practical nurse and had no children. Her husband was killed a short time after their marriage in a railroad or grain car accident. He was either gassed or burned to death. Little is known about him. Annie lived in a white two-storied house in which she also rented rooms. She is thought to have died of pneumonia.

Her parents were Johann Christian Ahrenbeck and Dorothea Schmidt Ahrenbeck, both of whom came to Texas from Germany. They settled in the little community of Spring Branch, where their children were born.

Sister to:
Bertha Jacqueline Ahrenbeck Elskes
William Christian Ahrenbeck
