James Augustus Repass, 73, formerly of Princeton, died Friday, Oct 28, 1988 at his home after a short illness. Mr. Repass was a retired carpenter with the Log Homes of Central Lake. He was a World War II Navy veteran, where he received the Purple Heart. He was a 25-year resident of Central Lake and was a Protestant.

Born September 29, 1915 at McComas, he was the son of the late Joseph Hastings Repass (1895-1967) and Nannie Mae Gillenwater-Repass (1898-1976). He was preceded in death by a son, David Lane Repass (Deceased), and a brother, Everette Repass (1930-1984).

Survivors include his wife, Lulabelle Woodson-Repass of Lewisburg; sons, Larry Repass, Richard Repass, Billy Joe Repass of Princeton and Dwayne Repass of OH; daughters, Karen Repass-Hedley of Central Lake, Edith Repass-Freeman of Bastian, VA, Ravenia Repass-Larkins of Plymouth, MI, and Nancy Repass-Cole of Princeton; a brother, Buford "Boots" Repass (Deceased) of Zephyrhills, FL; five sisters, Frances O. Repass-Kilby (1924-2003) of Chicago, IL, Mae Louise Repass-Hylton (1920-2001), and Edna "Alline" Repass (1918-2002), all of Matoaka, Hazel "Lavern" Repass-Perkins (1936-2019) of Lashmeet and Dorothy Repass-Saunders (1926-2019) of Fort Worth. TX; twenty six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.rn at the George W Seaver Funeral Home Chapel in Princeton with the Rev. Barry Nail officiating. Burial will be in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens at Princeton, with military rites being conducted by the Sandy River American Legion Post No. 175 of Bradshaw.
