Graveside services were conducted by the Colonial Funeral Home today at the Mountain View Cemetery for Conrad Almquist, 81, who died Sunday in a local hospital. Almquist, who resided at 111 Tehama Street, was born in Sweden and had been in Fresno twenty years. There are no known survivors.

Conrad Almqvist had one sibling who survived him, a sister Elise Amalia Almqvist who lived in Sweden. She passed away in 1957. Conrad also had many nieces and nephews in the USA.
Conrad Almqvist emigrated in 1876. His port of departure was Copenhagen, Denmark in June 1876. He sailed via Glasgow, Scotland and from there with the ship "State of Pennsylvania". He arrived in New York 6 July 1876. His destination was Hawley, Minnesota. Conrad was unmarried and nothing is known about his life in the USA.
