June 26, 1909 issue of Illinois State Journal:

Cantrall - Died, Thursday, June 24, 1909, at his residence, two and one-half miles south of Cantrall, W. G. Cantrall, aged 72 years, 4 months and 4 days.

The funeral will be held at the residence near Cantrall at 10 o'clock this morning, Rev. L. P. Fisher officiating. The interment will be in the Cantrall cemetery.

Mr. Cantrall was born Feb. 20, 1837, near Cantrall. He is survived by his wife, Mary J. Cantrall; two sons, Marcus of Blue Mound, and Wilbur F., residing at home; and three daughters, Mrs. Sarah Mallory, residing at home; Mrs. Mary Miller of Fancy Prairie; and Mrs. Louise Strode of near Cantrall. Beside these he leaves one brother, Jacob M. Cantrall, residing in Springfield.
