Hoffman Hornal was born - a twin of Clyde Hornal - on August 13, 1903 in Nashville, Tennessee, the son of Colin Park Hornal (1865–1937) and Catherine "Kate" (Wallace) Hornal (1875–1956).
He was married on March 8, 1929 in Summit, Ohio to Jean/Jane Stewart (1908–2011), the daughter of William James Stewart (1866–1960) and Mary Ellen (Milliken) Stewart (1866–1945).
A machinist at DuPont and living at 3212 Charlotte Avenue in Nashville, Hoffman was 51 years old and married when he had an operation on a brain tumor on March 28, 1955 at Mid-State Baptist Hospital. He died on March 31st of Bulbar palsy, and burial was on April 2nd in Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison {city, not county}.
