He was the son of Sam and Esther Boxer. He grew up in the Bronx, NY and graduated from New York University. He was drafted into the U.S. Army Air Corps during Word War II. He married Ritamarie Northrop in 1944. Upon discharge from the military he and his wife settled in Los Angeles, CA where he earned a law degree at Loyola University. He practiced law for 35 years. He was predeceased by his younger sister, Anita Carter. He is survived by his six children: Leah Perrotti (John), Zahava Ahlmark, Aviva Boxer, Shoshana Thompson (Ron), Aaron Boxer, Adena Boxer-Capitano (Eugene), 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
