Blanche Baker, 99, Humboldt, Kansas, died Thursday, April 15, 2004, at the Allen County Hospital in Iola, Kansas.
She was born January 12, 1905, in rural Humboldt, Kansas, the daughter of Charles W. and Annette (Abby) Beeman.
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, the Dorcas Society, the Busy Bees, and the HDU (Home Demonstration Unit).
On December 29, 1926, she married Lonnie L. Baker. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include 2 sons, Carroll L. Baker, Humboldt, KS, and W. Joe Baker, Iola, KS; a sister, Bertha McKinley; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Gene Baker; a brother, Merle Beeman; 5 sisters, Ethel Sharp, Mary Bland, Myrtle Nordt, Lottie Brock, and Dorothy Brinkman-Nordt; and one grandchild.
Burial will be April 19, 2004, at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Humboldt. Kansas.
