Nadayene Collette Reynolds was born on September 19, 1919, in East Chicago, Indiana. She was the eldest child of Frank James and Helene C Duffy Reynolds.

Nadyne grew up in East Chicago. She had younger siblings: Mary Frances; Francis James (Frank); and Terese Reynolds.

Nadyne Reynolds was a graduate of St Mary Elementary School and Catholic Central High School.

On September 15, 1942, Nadyne Colette Reynolds and Edward Eugene Knight were married in Indiana. They remained married until Edward Knight died on February 20, 1971, in East Chicago. He was buried at St Joseph Cemetery, in Hammond, Indiana.

Nadyne C. Knight, 80, of New Berlin, Wisconsin, formerly of East Chicago, Indiana, died on Tuesday, January 4, 2000. She was survived by five children: a widowed daughter of Redding, California; John Knight of Grosse Ile, Michigan; a daughter and son-in-law of Sarasota, Florida; a son and daughter-in-law of New Berlin, Wisconsin. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Reynolds; husband Edward Knight; a son James Knight; two grandchildren; brother Frank Reynolds; and sisters Mary A. Kilpatrick and Terese Thanholt.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 8, 2000, at 9:30 a.m. from the Fife Funeral Home; and Mass at 10 a.m. at St Mary Catholic Church, East Chicago. Burial was at St Joseph Cemetery, Hammond, Indiana.

Mrs. Knight had retired from the Lake County Association for Retarded Children, where she had worked as a teacher and was also in charge of job procurement.
