Edith Kelley age 86 of Florala, Alabama went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, November 28, 2019. Edith was a retired nurse of 30 years by profession, but her greatest joy was her family. "Nana" as the grandchildren named her. She enjoyed traveling and especially looked forward to trips with her sister Dot and cousins, Helen, Mary Jane, Edna, And Evelyn. She enjoyed gardening, and her yard was always a thing of great beauty. She was also an amazing cook but jokingly said: "She hoped she didn't have to cook when she got to heaven". Edith treasured her church family at Liberty Hill Assembly of God and appreciated all the love and support from them. Edith was a strong woman and raised strong children and helped care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In the last 9 months since her husband Raymond died it has been her heart longing to see Jesus. Just knowing that Raymond would be the next one to welcome her home. What a glorious reunion that will be! Edith carries in her heart all the love of those who were privileged to know her and believed that true love never dies.
