San Jose Evening News, Dec. 3, 1909. "BENEDICT—In San Jose, California, December 3, 1909. Albert Benedict, husband of the late Eliza Benedict and grandfather of Frank B. Fleming, a native of New York, aged 83 years, 10 months, 22 days."
San Jose Evening News, Dec. 4, 1909. "At the age of 84 years, Albert Benedict, one of the best known religious workers in this country, died at the home of his son-in-law, Frank P. Fleming, First and San Salvador streets. Benedict was a man of considerable fortune which he accumulated in banking business and other mercantile pursuits which he conducted about twenty five years ago."
