Dau: Grace Lavinia (Atwater) Atwater b. 5 May 1813
Son: James Atwater b. 1 Nov 1814 m. 1845 Eliza Myers no. 819
Son: Elisha Matthew Atwater b. 3 Mar 1817 d. 20 May 1865 Guysborough, NS no. 820

Son: David Graham Atwater b. 12 Mar 1826/1828 no. 823

"Atwater History and Genealogy, by Francis Atwater and Edward E Atwater: The book leaves Grace Lavinia and Esther off, but Grace Lavinia's son has family no. 832. I don't know about James having the middle name George, and he did marry to Eliza Myer; I don't know if he m1. Harriet Ayer and she died (there was not a Harriet Ayer given in the vicinity).

Canada, Seafarers of the Atlantic Provinces, 1789-1935:
Name: Luman Atwater

Vessel Registration Number: P865023
Vessel Registration Place: Pictou, Nova Scotia
Year Vessel Constructed: 1865

Note: This vessel could have been owned by Luman Jr.; but he was at Afton, Antigonish, Nova Scotia in 1860. It was the father that settled at Bayfield and stayed there. All censuses state both the father and son to be farmers. Antigonish, Antigonish is the reporter of Vitals for this family; and I don't think the Mary Ann Atwater that died in 1866 is Mary (Keay) Atwater.
