Esta M. (Cooley) Heck, age 91 passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Homeview Health & Rehabilitation Center in Franklin. She was a resident of Brown County.

Esta was born Nov. 23, 1928, in Nashville, to her parents, the late Arthur and Lottie (Harden) Cooley. She married John B. Heck on May 8, 1971. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1999 after 28 loving years of marriage.

Esta was retired after 25 years of waitressing in local area restaurants. She enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting and fishing.

Esta is survived by her children, Clayton (Patsy) Fox of Brown County, Clinton (Kimberly) Fox of Martinsville and Robert (Linda) Nickerson of Arcadia; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Clinton and Dessie Cooley, Russell Mullis and Martin Baker.

The Rev. Burt Brock will conduct a funeral service on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Green Valley Cemetery in Nashville.
