William Kennon Brinson, 85, of Rome, passed away Sunday, March 06, 2016 at his son’s residence.

He was a kind, loving and generous husband, father, and friend. He was cherished by his many nieces and nephews, as well as those he loved as dear as family.

The son of the late Chester A. Brinson and the late Mattie Moxley Brinson, he grew up in Soperton, Georgia. He married the love of his life, Beverly Ware Brinson, before going overseas to serve in the Army in Korea where he was injured and received the Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife and also his sons, Alan (Roxanne) Brinson and Chester (Marie) Brinson; his daughter Julie (Keith) Milliman; and his grandsons, Evan (Amber) Milliman and Ethan (Elice) Milliman. He was preceded in death by a son David Brinson.

Mr. Brinson was a long time member of Fellowship Baptist Church where he at one time drove the church bus for mission trips. He and his wife and family enjoyed RVing all over the United States.
