Mrs. Nix was born Dec. 14, 1910, in Delaware County, Okla., and was a lifelong resident of the Jay area. She was a member of Taslagi Indian Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Alfred Nix, Twin Oaks, Leonard Nix, Freemont, Calif., and Leo Nix, Fort Smith, Ark.; five daughters, Miss Meda Nix, Mrs. Sarah Feathers, Mrs. Peggy Masters, Mrs. Ida Mae Tanner and Mrs. Melba Cates, all of Jay; a brother, Jesse Scuggins, Kenwood; a sister, Mrs. Mary Sunday, Bartlesville, 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
