William‘Raphael' Booher, 84, of Cottage Grove, Oregon, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2007.
He was born in Leona, Oregon, on November 30, 1922, to parents, William and Mable (Turpin) Booher. He attended school at Drain High School.
He served in the Air force during WWII from 1943-1946. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal. He met Charlotte Towns in Hays, Kansas, and on August 17, 1946, they were married in Cottage Grove.
William worked as a Timber Cutter. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
William is survived by his wife, Charlotte Booher; daughter, Shara and husband, Dennis Davis of LaPine, Oregon; daughter, Rhonda and husband, Pat Zosel of Myrtle Creek, Oregon; son, Roger and wife, Bonnie Booher of Reedsport, Oregon; son, Rick Booher of Cottage Grove; brother, Charles W. Booher and wife, Dorothy of Winchester Bay, Oregon; brother, Frank Booher and wife, Joan of LaPine; grandchildren, Steven and James Davis; Matt, Chip and Kristen Zosel and Joseph Booher and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Smith-Lund Mills, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2007, with a burial at the Comstock Cemetery in Curtin, Oregon.
