Jane married Briant Adams and between 1855 and 1863 they had three known children as reflected by 1860 and 1870 census records
On the 1860 Census Briant headed his own household in Milburne District adjacent to that of his father (households 462 & 463) who had remarried.
1860 Census
Milburne District Ballard County, KY
Family #463
Briant ADAMS, age 44, TN, Shoemaker, PP=$50
Jane, age 31, KY
Jessee age 4, KY
Charity R age 2, KY
Margaret A age 10, KY
There was a 1961 LDS ceremony "tying" 10 year old MARGARET rather than Jane as Briant's WIFE which has resulted in some researcher confusion. In fact as evidenced by the 1850 census record then 10 month old Margaret was included in the household of Henry Adams JR -- Briant's brother who died during that decade.
Widowed during the Civil War, Jane headed the household which then consisted of :
Jane ADAMS age 43, KY, keeps house, PP=$250
Thomas age 15 KY works on farm
Charity age 12 KY at home
Bascum age 6 KY
Property records showed the Sale of their 25A of land by Jane Adams - described by metes & bounds locatable only by "being near the waters of Obion Creek" adjacent to land owned by Nancy Hamlon, John Carter & A.J. Stephens. Charity Rosanna married Francis Trammel and on the 1880 census Jane and Bascum were enumerated in the household of Francis & Rosanna Trammel. Jane died during June 1880 and is believed to have been buried in Old Bardwell Cemetery
