Paul J. Scharenbroch, age 65, of 400 N. Monroe St., Green Bay, died Monday, May 8, 1995, at his residence.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 1995, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno. Officiating at the Memorial Mass will be Rev. Michael Flanary with burial to follow at St. Joseph Church Cemetery at a later date.

He was born March 18, 1930, at School Hill, son of the late Joseph and Cecelia Schad Scharenbroch. He was a graduate of Kiel High School class of 1948. Paul was employed as a construction worker locally until his retirement due to his illness. He enjoyed many hours of hunting and fishing and was an avid Chicago White Sox fan.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret (Peg) and Daniel Hammer, New Riegel, Ohio; four grandchildren, Tammy, Rachel, Elizabeth and Theresa; two great-grandchildren, Bret and Megan; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Lawrence and LaVerne Scharenbroch, Cleveland, Wis., Rev. Al Knier, Green Bay, Imelda (Tillie) Scharenbroch, Sheboygan, Jeanette Scharenbroch, Indiana. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by one son, Samson, two brothers, Andrew and Florian and one brother and sister in infancy.

Friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
