Homer Stewart, 67, of Denton died Thursday, May 25, 2000, at his home.

He was born March 20, 1933, in Elkorn City, Ky., to William Stewart and Amy Laura Coleman Stewart. He married Cora Beatrice Stokes on Sept. 5, 1953, in Amarillo.

He was a welder for Peerless Manufacturing before he retired.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton. Frank Maynard will officiate. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be sons Steve Stewart, Kelly Stewart, and Grandsons Stevie Stewart Jr., Steve Johnson, Johnny Rush, Barry Rush and Jason Stewart,.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today, May 28, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Sanger Church of Christ Building Fund.

Survivors include his wife of Denton; four sons, David Stewart of Denton, Steve Stewart of Denton, Eddie Stewart of Denton and Kelly Stewart of Plano; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was an advent fisherman. He is survived by his Wife Bea and their boys and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
