Published in the Pike County Press, Mlford, Pennsylvania, April 29, 1891:
"Mrs. Benj. B. Hursh died very suddenly and unexpectedly at her home at Hainesville this Monday morning, April 27th. Death was caused by bed fever.
About a week ago, Mrs. Hursh became the mother of a child, her fourth, and was supposed to be getting on nicely when fever developed. She was about 26 years of age and a daughter of Mr. Allen Everitt, of Hainesville. He was a niece of M.C. Everitt, President of the First National Bank of this village. Her husband, who is a prominent farmer, and four children survive her. She was an excellent wife, mother and friend and her death creates genuine sorrow in the entire community."
