Dorothy Mae Hartsook was called home by the Lord on January 10, 2020. She was born on October 9, 1927 in Patterson, IL. to Joseph and Florence Borcky. She married Melvin Hartsook on April 9, 1959 in Greenfield, IL, and he preceded her in death June 3, 1997.

She is survived by her four daughters Marla Echols of Alton, IL, Mona Goodnight of Iowa, Mary Herder of Jerseyville, IL and Debbie McClintock of Roodhouse, IL., her grandchildren, Melissa Cope, Clint Echols, Christopher Echols, Bernice Emerson, Joey Musgraves, Jason Herder, Richard Herder, Jr., John McClintock, Jr., Erikia Becherer, Lance McClintock, and Alex James McClintock, her great-grandchildren, Terry Lee Cope, Carrie Price, Shannon Spencer, Brittney Cope, Selena Cope, Olivia Emerson, Elijah Emerson, Isaac Emerson, Ezra Emerson, Austin Herder, Jamie Lippold, Katie Herder, Mattalynne Herder, Matthew Suttles, Delilah Herder, Courtney Smith, Cory Smith, Chloe McClintock, Dylan Riley, Logan Becherer, Mia Garcia, Liam Garcia, Cali Garcia and Kagen McClintock, her great-great-grandchildren Kyndahl Cope, Loghan Cope, Theo Cope, Delilah Spencer, Jayden Herder, Alanah Herder, Aubree Lippold, Aaliah Herder, Owen Hartley, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister Helen Plogger, brothers David, J.L., Charles, Donald, Freeman and Arthur Borcky, and a grandson, Matthew Herder.

Dorothy had a passion to take care of others. She enjoyed quilting, camping, playing dominoes and being outdoors.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Shields-Bishop funeral home in Greenfield, IL. Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Kane cemetery.
