Plogger

Mrs. Helen J. Plogger, 78, of Greenfield died Monday afternoon, March 17, 2003, at the White Hall Multicare Center.

She was born July 20, 1924, in Dudley, Mo., the daughter of Joseph L. and Florance E. (Hayes) Borcky.

She married Lloyd Plogger July 4, 1954, in Greenfield, and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, James (wife Ann) Plogger of Springfield; a daughter, Nancy White of Tazwell County, Va.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Hartsook of Jerseyville; and two brothers, Arthur Borcky of Milwaukee and Donald Borcky of Tennessee.

Preceding her in death were four brothers, Freeman Borcky, Neal Borcky, Joseph Borcky, and Charles Borcky.

Mrs. Plogger was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenfield.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at Shields Memorial Home in Greenfield. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at the funeral home, with burial at Oak Wood Cemetery in Greenfield.

Memorials are suggested to the Blessing Hospice of Greene County.

The Rev. George Rosales officiated at 11 a.m. funeral services Wednesday, March 26, 2003, for Mrs. Helen J. Plogger, 78, of Greenfield, at Shields Memorial Home in Greenfield. Organist Debbie Powell played "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross."

Casketbearers were Curt Borcky, Mike Borcky, Lance McClintock, Lloyd George, William D. Pembrook and Randy Henson. Burial was at Oak Wood Cemetery near Greenfield.
