He proudly served our country during World War II in France and Germany, and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service.
After his service, he went to work for Lockheed, and retired from there after 37 years. Rufus will be remembered as a hard worker and good provider. He was many things to so many people, among those being a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.
Rufus is preceded in death by his wife, Naomi “Toni” Blair.
He is survived by his children, Diane (Peter) Wachtel of Johns Creek, Vicki (Richard) Wright of Woodbine, and Scott Blair of Douglasville; extended generations.
