George Bower was an early planter at Scituate in the Plymouth Colony where he was a freeman (1636/37) and town officer. He removed to Plymouth where he was elected constable on March 5, 1638/39, and was still residing there in January 1641/42. Shortly after he relocated to Cambridge, apparently for the education of his sons, and died there testate with a will dated November 8, which was proved December 30, 1656.
