Gertrude Harsin, 82, Watseka, died today at Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. She was born June 10, 1913, the daughter of Benjamin Joseph and Bertha Powell Sapp in Watseka. She married Joe Braden in Watseka in 1930. He preceded her in death in 1956. She then married Kenneth Harsin in 1975. He died in 1993.
Mrs. Harsin is survived by two daughters; Jody Harper of Watseka and Judy Kilgore of Watseka; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Braden of jacksonville; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, one son, Jack Braden and one grandchild, Jerry Harper. Mrs. Harsin was president and secretary of the Federated Grandmothers Club of Milford.
Services will be at 11 am March 9 at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka, with Rev. Neil Larimore officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Creek Chapel cemetery in Stockland.
