Burial will be private. Ralph Powell Services for Ralph Powell, 79, of Desert Hot Springs, will be held at 11 a m. Thursday at Chapel of the Desert Mortuary in Desert Hot Springs Mr Powell, a native of Fairfax, Okla., died Monday in Palm Springs. He was a retired plaster contractor in Simi Valley. He was a member of the Moose and Elks lodges in Salinas. Survivors include his wife. Ruth; three sons. James R. Powell and Rick D Powell, both of Simi Valley, and Robert G Powell of Rohnert Park, three daughters, Peggy R Lucero of Northridge. Patty J.P Sanders of San Jacinto and Rogena M Bloom of Desert Hot Springs; one brother, Rex Powell of Salinas; three sisters, Rowena Jones. Ruth Lippincott and Reba O'Lary, all of Salmas: 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Burial will be at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City.
