Junior was born in Blytheville to Billie and Eva Mae Overton. He was a retired farmer and a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. Junior was an avid duck hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Overton; two brothers; three sisters; and one grandson, Jason Ingram.
Junior leaves his wife of 68 years, Jean Overton of the home; two children, Regina Ingram and her husband Joe of Blytheville and Billy Overton and his wife Terri of Blytheville; five grandchildren, Amy Stanley (Brian), Amanda Watkins (Darrell), Casey Knight (Justin), Courtney Olivares (Jose) and Heather Phelps (Johnny); and 11 great-grandchildren, Hunter and Payton Curtis, Sarah, Hannah, Meredith, Selene, Lydia and Daniel Stanley, Jose Olivares and Kyleigh and Rhett Phelps.
