A Celebration of life for Karen will be held by the family on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Green Mountain Lions Club in Green Mountain, Iowa with burial at a later time.
Karen M. Airey was born on March 20, 1954 in Marshalltown to Floyd and Mildred Maxfield Airey. She graduated from Green Mountain High School in 1973 then went on to cosmetology school in Cedar Rapids. Karen was united in marriage to Robert F. Roe on October 22, 1983 and to this union, Troy was born.
She enjoyed reading and just helping out everyone at the Odd Fellows, where she resided. Karen was loved by all and could put a smile on anyone’s face!
Karen is survived by her son, Troy (Jessica) Airey of New Albany, Indiana; grandchildren: Mikaid and Emerson; brother, Ray (Kathleen) Airey of Marshalltown; nephew: Dan Roe of St. Joseph, Missouri; nieces: Lisa (Eric) Schmidt of Albion and Michelle (Mark) Wagner of Cedar Rapids. She will also be greatly missed by her dear friend, Elle and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Karen is reunited with her parents, Floyd and Mildred; sister Kathy Roe and her grandparents.
