WATERLOO -- Kathleen “Jane” Abbott, 82, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Feb. 14, at Shell Rock Healthcare Center, Shell Rock, of natural causes.
She was born May 18, 1932, in Parkersburg, daughter of Mert and Mabel Gruver Card. She married Arnie D. Abbott on Nov. 18, 1950; he died in 1995.
Kathleen was a longtime member of Lindon Avenue Methodist Church.
Survived by: two daughters, DeAnn Huffman of Waverly and Cynthia (Kenton) Zelle of Hudson; a son, Michael (Debra) of Florida; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marlene (Darryl) Rients of Parkersburg and Dorothy Carr of Evansdale; and a brother, Don Card of Evansdale.
Preceded in death by: her parents; a grandson, Joshua Huffman; two brothers, Lavern and Lloyd Card; and a sister, Beverly Card.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Linden Avenue Methodist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, and an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
Memorials: may directed to UnityPoint Hospice.
