June 9, 1925-Sept. 19, 1999 Jesse Allen, a retired General Motors employee. He served in the US Army (WWII). He was a member of Greater Centennial A.M.E. Zion Church, where he served on the Male Usher Board, Men's Club and Steward Board. He was a member of Prince Hall-Masonic Temple (NYC). He is survived by his children: Tressie Rooks, Ronald and Donald Allen, Jessica Neptune, and Clifford Allen, as well as his twin sister Tressie White and a brother, William, aunt Tedia Grimes, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, longtime friend Gloria Ann Holmes also a host of other family members and friends. Reposing at Greater Centennial A.M.E. Zion Church, corner of 8th Avenue and 4th Street, Mt. Vernon, Thursday, September 23, 1999 11AM-12 noon. Funeral service 12 noon. Interment, Beechwoods Cemetery, New Rochelle. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one's choice are requested.
