Murder victim. A young life taken far too soon. Both he and his older brother William disappeared and were murdered by their father, who made several attempts to explain what happened to his sons. All of them, however, proved contradictory and implausible, leading to his arrest and being found guilty of murder but with a recommendation to mercy after a short trial. Nevertheless, he was executed by hanging. However, due to a unique case of adipocere when their bodies were found in 1913, part of each of the brothers's remains were stolen and laid in store at the pathology department of the University of Edinburgh before being finally laid to rest in 2009, almost a century after they were murdered. May this beloved child rest in heavenly peace.
