Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Morse passed through the city this morning over the Rock Island in charge of the corpse of Mrs. Martha Chenoweth, mother of Mrs. Morse. The home of the deceased was near Pond Creek, O.T., where she died yesterday morning. Her remains were being shipped to Zyba from which place they will be taken to Silver Creek cemetery in Illinois township for burial. This is near the former home of the deceased. Ed Morse went out from there this morning to attend the funeral. The deceased is well known in this county having lived here in the pioneer days of Kansas.
