Miss Katherine Hathaway 73, an early resident of Sands Creek, passed away April 1st, after a lingering illness, in the hospital a t Delhi. For many years Miss Hathaway was a nurse. Later she was employed as nurse in the Brooklyn City Hospital, which position she held until loss of her sight caused her to retire from active duty. After retiring she made her home in Cannonsville and later in Turnertown with Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Turner. She is survived by two sisters, Frances of Kelsey and Isabelle of Binghamton and one brother, Arthur J. Hathaway of Long Grove, Iowa and several nieces and nephews. The funeral, in charge of Kays & Guy, Funeral Directors of Deposit. The Rev. John C. Eason of Deposit officiated with burial in the family plot in Cannonsville Cemetery.
