Reverend Elvin Henry Eshelman, 70, of Harrington, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 12, 2014, at Milford Memorial Hospital. Rev Elvin was born in Corry, PA. the son of the late Elvin Henry and Florence Alegra (Silvis) Eshelman. He was a graduate of Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC, and attended Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa. After graduation, Pastor Elvin became involved in Christian Ministry and Christian Schools. In the early 1970's, he went on a Christian Mission trip to Mexico. He started and was Pastor of Trinity Bible Church in Fitzwilliam, NH. He was also involved in camp ministries during the summer months. Rev Elvin established a very successful bus ministry in both Florida and New Hampshire. He was a most kind and helpful man, a true servant of the Lord. One of his greatest ministries was to reach out and help those people who truly were in need. He would do anything for anybody. In the last three years, Pastor Elvin was slowed in his ministry due to his health, but kept actively praying with those at Independent Bible Fellowship Church, where he and his wife Sheri are members. He was also a member of the Milford Senior Center. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Daniel R Eshelman, Jerry Eshelman and Troy N Eshelman; and his stepmother, Eleanor Eshelman. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sharon "Sheri" Eshelman; one son, Bryan James Eshelman and his wife Susan Elizabeth Bohner Eshelman; two grandsons, Steven James Eshelman and Andrew Christopher Eshelman; one brother, James L Eshelman; two sisters, Gayle A Cone and Faith A Powers; as well as his spiritual family, Stephanie Brock, William Brock, Monique, Marena and Sasha Brock. A celebration of Pastor Elvin's life will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at the Independent Bible Fellowship Church, 6797 Milford - Harrington Highway, Harrington...Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford, DE.
