Joseph H. Degoosh, who has been a long time resident of Barton, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Stevens, Monday afternoon at the age of 91, the result of a shock and other complications. Mr. Degoosh was born in Brockton, P. Q., on December 23, 1819, moved to Lyme, N. H., when 17 years of age and came to Barton about 35 years ago. Mr. Degoosh has had a long and interesting life and had a wide circle of friends. He leaves to mourn his loss, two daughters, Mrs. Stevens and Mrs. Wm. Paul, both of this place, and two sons, Thomas C., of Barton and Nathaniel of West Derby, and many more distant relatives and friends. The funeral was held from the house today at 11 o'clock, Rev. W. A. Warner officiating.
