Millard Earnst [sic, Ernst] Barthlow, retired tavern keeper of 47 S. Market street, died Thursday at University Hospital, Baltimore, after an illness of three months, aged 75 years. He was a son of the late William H. and Ida Fox Barthlow and a member of All Saints Episcopal church. Surviving are these children: Mrs. Charles C. Crum, Mrs. Robert L. Smith, Mrs. Chas. F. Murphy, Russell S. Barthlow and Millard E. Barthlow, Jr., of Frederick, and Mrs. Richard K. Miller, of Union Bridge. Also surviving are two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Nannie Keeney and Mrs. Charles Shelton, both of York, Pa., and Mr. William P. Barthlow of Frederick. Fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. The body rests at the funeral home, 106 East Church street, where friends may call after seven o'clock this evening. Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, 2 p. m. Interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery. M. R. Etchison and son, funeral directors.
