Ruth Maxine Sinnett Custer, 93, of Parkersburg, departed this life on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Eagle Pointe Nursing Facility.



She was born January 24, 1927, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Bert and Virgie Miller Longwell.



Maxine was a cook for the Wood County Schools and also a nurse for Dr. Auvil. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, going to yard sales with Pam, lunches with Dava Dean and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and family. Maxine was a member of South Parkersburg United Methodist Church.



She is survived by her youngest son, Danny Sinnett and her loving daughter in law Valerie Sinnett, her daughter in law Dena Sinnett, and son in law Bill Allman. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren whom she loved and who also loved her very much, Dava (Jeff) Dean, Dane Sinnett (Tammy), Matthew Sinnett (Anna), Kelly Sinnett-Cook (Casey), Amanda Kelsey (Gabe) and Christina Wilson (Matt). She had 6 great grandchildren she loved very much, Amy and Ryan Dean, Andrew and Ryan Wilson, Sadie Nelson, Harley Kesley and her 7th great grand baby, Khloe Marie Cook, who she got to see be born and always loved that memory we shared.



In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy B. Sinnett; second husband, Robert L. Custer; three brothers; three sisters; son, David Lee Sinnett; and her two daughters, Pamela Jean Allman and Paula Lynn Perkins.



The family would like to thank the Eagle Pointe’s Cottage Staff and Amedisys Hospice for their wonderful care.



A private graveside service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Sunset Memory Gardens with Pastor Jim Plyburn officiating. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
