As far as can be determined these two brothers are the progenitors of all NEUTZLING's in America up until the late 1800 or early 1900's.
Peter and most of his family remained in Pomeroy, Ohio except two sons who moved to Saint Clair County, Illinois. Jacob, who was the FIRST Neutzling in America and always the adventurer, left with his family of 8 children for the Minnesota territory in 1858.

PETER NEUTZLING DEAD - Mr. Peter Neutzling, father of Henry Neutzling, died at his son's residence on Mulberry Street Monday night after several days of severe illness. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning from the (Sacred Heart) Catholic Church. The deceased was 78 years of age.
