Mrs. Ella Biggar, Scio Native, Dies in Calif.
Mrs. George Milton Beggar of Covelo, California died at her home there October 13, 1953
Mrs. Biggar was (Ella), the daughter of Robert and Huldah Jane Gillett (Hudson) Cary. She was born at Scio, Oregon, July 5, 1869. She graduated from McMinnville Academy and taught school in Scio and Salem. Later she graduated from Stanford University and became a teacher in the high school at Covelo, Calif. In 1910, she married George Milton Biggar, merchant of Covelo, which was her home for the remainder of her life.
She is survived by her husband; her sister, Miss Roberta Cary, Salem; her brother, Frances Gillett Cary of Covelo; a niece, Mrs. Glenn G. Gillett of Portland; a niece, Edwin G. Olson, Sacramento, Calif; a grand-niece, Mrs. Phillip W. Schultz of Berkley, Calif; and two great-grand nephews.
